Meet the Team
Lauren Donovan, MSW, LCSW, RPT
Registered Play Therapist™, Certified AutPlay Therapy Provider
Founder & Clinical TherapistI began my career working with children because I was once a child who needed a therapist that truly understood me — one who would step down from their place of authority and meet me where I was, in the language I actually spoke, play. That experience, along with my own journey as a neurodivergent, highly sensitive person who has done deep personal healing work, became the foundation of everything I do at Oak Haven Therapy.
What started as a passion for helping children find their voice grew into something larger when I kept recognizing in the adults sitting across from me the same unmet need — generations of neurodivergent, highly sensitive, and chronically ill people who had never once been in a space truly built for them. So I built it. Oak Haven Therapy exists because I needed it once and couldn't find it — and every child, adolescent, adult, and family who walks through our doors deserves to finally feel seen, heard, understood, and reminded that they were never broken to begin with.

Chief Therapy DogMeet our four-legged therapist, Maui — a certified therapy dog with a heart as big as her personality. She has an extraordinary gift for knowing exactly who needs her and when, quietly making her way to the person in the room who needs her most without ever being asked. Intuitive, warm, and endlessly loving, Maui has a way of melting walls that words sometimes can't reach — and she takes her job very seriously, even if she occasionally gets distracted by a good belly rub.
